Happenstance is based on missed connections from Craigslist. Romantic, funny, sad and exhilarating this dance play uses contemporary modern dance set to popular music to tell a story that will enchant and captivate old and young audiences alike.

Caitlin Gallo (Writer/Director; Happenstance) Gallo’s work has been seen Off-Broadway in 2011 (Happenstance- Manhattan Movement and Arts Center), 2012 (8 Million Protagonists- PS 122) and 2013 (Singing Dixie: A Country Jukebox Musical- The 47th Street Theater). She and her creative partner, Jimmy Burgio are best known for their achievements in experimental forms of theater and their multi-media/platform collaborations with artists, companies and institutions. For their joint work in 2012 with global advertising agency Leo Burnett on the first ever crowd-sourced Off-Broadway play, they received multiple awards from Cannes, Clios, One Show, London International, Addys, and many more. Gallo’s writing can be seen on Thought Catalog, Buzzfeed and other online publications. Education: New School University (Musical Theater), The Second City LA (Improv/ Comedy Writing), and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Gallo is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc. and the Off-Broadway Theater Alliance (Awarded OBA Mentorship Program for 2013-2014). Last but certainly not least, Gallo’s a return Sound Bites finalist; previously her show Singing Dixie won the Audience Favorite award in 2013.
